Sound Transit, Seattle

Engineering Manager for Segment D (Bel-Red Corridor to Overlake Transit Center Station)

GRIJALVA ENGINEERING was the Design Engineering Manager for Segment D and managed the development of all civil engineering design and plans, including right-of-way, track, roadway, structural, traffic, utility and station site civil design elements.

North Link LRT – Preliminary Engineering

Sound Transit, Seattle

Engineering Manager for Segment A ( Brooklyn Station to Northgate Station)

GRIJALVA ENGINEERING was the Design Engineering Manager for Segment A and managed the development of all civil engineering design and plans, including right-of-way, track, roadway, tunnel, structural, traffic, utility and station site civil design elements.

SR69 – Design Concepts thru Final Design

Arizona Department of Transportation, Phoenix

Mr. Grijalva was the Project Manager for the reconstruction of 36 miles of SR 69, Cordes Junction to Prescott Valley. This project involved the reconstruction of a 2-lane highway to a 4-lane divided highway, including 8 bridge crossings, and included the management of all engineering design and construction documentation, management of 5 segment design teams, schedules, consultant scopes of work/contracts and post construction activities.

South Park Bridge Replacement – Preliminary Engineering

King County, Washington

Mr. Grijalva was the Deputy Project Manager and Lead Civil/Traffic Engineer for the EIS/PE South Park Bridge Rehabilitation Project responsible for the development of all design reports, design standards, and preliminary engineering construction documents and estimates.

University Link LRT – Final Design

Sound Transit, Seattle

GRIJALVA ENGINEERING is the Lead Traffic Engineer for the University Link LRT Final Design Project. This work includes developing construction traffic engineering design reports; traffic control plans including the closure of I-5 on and off ramps and associated detours; haul routes ; traffic operational studies; pedestrian and bicycle impact studies; traffic signal, signing and striping final design plans.

Tempe Streetcar – Alternatives Analysis/Conceptual Engineering

Valley Metro Rail, Phoenix

GRIJALVA ENGINEERING is the Traffic Engineering Manager for the development of Tempe Streetcar design in Tempe, Arizona. This work includes performing traffic operational analysis integrating streetcar into city street system along Mill Avenue, pedestrian and bicycle facility designs and developing conceptual traffic engineering plans and reports.

Mesa LRT Extension – Alternatives Analysis/Conceptual Engineering

Valley Metro Rail, Phoenix

GRIJALVA ENGINEERING is the Traffic Engineering Manager for the development of LRT design in Mesa, Arizona. This work includes performing traffic operational analysis integrating at-grade, center running LRT into city street system along Main Street, pedestrian and bicycle facility designs and developing conceptual traffic engineering plans and reports.

Central Link LRT – Preliminary Engineering

Mr. Grijalva was the Traffic Engineering Manager for the development of LRT design in Seattle. This work included performing transportation planning, traffic operations and preliminary traffic engineering for the introduction of an at-grade center running light rail system along Martin Luther King Jr. Way in the City of Seattle.
