GRIJALVA ENGINEERING was the Design Engineering Manager for Segment D (Bel-Red Corridor to Overlake Transit Center Station) and managed the development of all civil engineering design and plans, including reconstruction of roadway designs along the LRT corridor, station and park and ride site civil areas, and incorporation of partner agency roadway reconstruction projects such as the new NE 15th/16th roadway corridor, 120th Avenue NE and 124th Avenue NE, and Microsoft Road.
North Link LRT – Preliminary Engineering

GRIJALVA ENGINEERING was the Design Engineering Manager for Segment A (Brooklyn Station to Northgate Station) and managed the development of all civil engineering design and plans, including reconstruction of roadway designs along the LRT corridor and station and park and ride site civil areas.
SR69 – Design Concepts thru Final Design
Arizona Department of Transportation, Phoenix
Mr. Grijalva was the Project Manager for the reconstruction of 36 miles of SR 69, Cordes Junction to Prescott Valley. This project involved the reconstruction of a 2-lane highway to a 4-lane divided highway, including 8 bridge crossings, and included the management of all roadway and bridge engineering design and construction documentation and estimates.
South Park Bridge Replacement – Preliminary Engineering
King County, Washington
Mr. Grijalva was the Deputy Project Manager and Lead Civil/Traffic Engineer for the EIS/PE South Park Bridge Rehabilitation Project responsible for the development of preliminary roadway engineering construction documents and estimates.
9th Avenue and Olive Way Intersection – Final Design
Sound Transit, Seattle
Mr. Grijalva was the project manager and lead civil engineer for the reconstruction of a complex 5-legged intersection at 9th Avenue and Olive Way. The project included design and reconstruction of an intersection that required PCCP pavement reconstruction, utility relocation, curb, gutter & sidewalk reconstruction, traffic signals, transit signal priority signing, striping and traffic control plans, specifications and estimates.
Roadway Projects – Final Design
Mr. Grijalva was the Project Manager responsible for the development of final design construction documents for rural roadway projects in Oregon. These involved traffic calming projects for Clark County, Washington and road improvement/widening projects for the city of Banks and Sherwood. Mr. Grijalva acted as the City Engineer for the city of Banks, Oregon.
